Doug Spears

A journey through back roads, mountain towns, and the places we carry with us, Blacktop Road explores home, friendship, love, loss, and the passing of time. The Florida Cracker Collective’s rich harmonies and expressive acoustic arrangements bring warmth and life to songs rooted in memory, experience, and hope.

Welcome Home explores the Florida beyond the postcards—its rivers and cypress trees, working lives, family memories, and history both proud and painful. An internationally known ensemble of acoustic musicians brings depth and texture to Doug’s portraits of people and place, revealing connections that reach well beyond the Sunshine State.

Recorded solo in the studio with just Doug’s voice and acoustic guitar, Break Some Stones offers the intimacy and directness of a listening-room performance. With the words and melodies front and center, these songs explore love, loss, difficult choices, and the resolve to keep moving forward.
