        May not seem like they're good for anything,

When I go walking down by the river,
Sometimes I wade that cold mountain flow,
My feet uncertain, I trip and stumble,
On that rough and rocky river bed below.

Where the bottom's smooth and sandy oh it runs so quiet through,
But where it swirls around the rocks that's when the river speaks to you

The force of nature sets its course and flow,
We trip and stumble in life's shallows,
Searching for the deeper answers we may never know.
